The Commercial Plastering Contractors Group

The Commercial Plastering Contractors Group has provided employers in the plastering sector of the building and construction industry with workplace relations and employment advice and support for over 25 years. Through the Finishing Trades Association of Australia, members of the Commercial Plastering Contractors Group have benefitted from representation in negotiations on Enterprise Bargaining Agreements and standalone Enterprise Agreements. Members have also benefited from being membership of a professional trades association gaining access to services and products tailored for their industry, being part of a community with shared interest, having a collective voice on issues and access to training and professional development.

 

Relaunching the Association

In recognition of the current state of the industry, the significant changes on the horizon and the challenges for employers in the building and construction industry the Commercial Plastering Contractors Group is being relaunched as the Master Plasterers Association of Australia.

The Master Plasterers Association is seeking expressions of interest from plastering trades employers as members who share the interests of;

  • Promoting the professionalism of the plastering trade
  • Building strong, resilient and profitable plastering trade businesses
  • Engaging and influencing the government and industry on issues that impact the plastering trade
  • Promoting and recognising excellence in the plastering trade and its associated disciplines.
  • Supporting the ongoing viability of reputable training providers for the future of the industry
  • Promoting plastering as a desirable trade career
  • Working collaboratively with manufacturers and suppliers for the betterment of the industry

The Master Plasterers Association of Australia is a not-for-profit employer association and will be governed by an elected Board of Directors made up of plastering employers.
