The Master Ceramic Tilelayers Association of Victoria was set up in the late 1990’s to provide support, advocacy and a professional community for professional tile laying businesses. The MCTAV included employer members from residential and commercial building and construction sectors. The MCTAV provided support to employers on employment issues, marketing and promotion, advocating to government, business training, skills training and was also active in the apprenticeship training.

Relaunching the Association

In recognition of the current state of the industry, the significant changes on the horizon and the challenges for employers in the building and construction industry the Master Ceramic Tilelayers Association of Victoria is being relaunched as the Master Tilers Association of Australia.

The Master Tilers Association is seeking expressions of interest from plastering trades employers as members who share the interests of;

• Promoting the professionalism of the tiling trade
• Building strong, resilient and profitable tiling trade businesses
• Engaging and influencing the government and industry on issues that impact the tiling trade
• Promoting and recognising excellence in the tiling trade and its associated disciplines.
• Supporting the ongoing viability of reputable training providers for the future of the industry
• Promoting tiling as a desirable trade career
• Working collaboratively with manufacturers and suppliers for the betterment of the industry

The Master Tilers Association of Australia is a not-for-profit employer association and will be governed by an elected Board of Directors made up of tiling employers.
